Grey Matters Centre

CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

Grey Matters Centre is one of the U.K.’s leading Mental Health Centres based in Ashby, Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire. We have come a long way in our journey so far and we are already fulfilling our high performance of success and growth potential into the future.

We are looking for highly motivated, affiliate psychological practitioners, working in their own private practice, to join our team and help us on our mission to provide the best service possible to a wide variety of mental health needs, using a discipline of empirically evidenced therapeutic models.

As part of our dedication to creating an empowered collection of passionate professionals who provide innovative, high performance, life-changing support to our clients, we know how important it is to work in an environment that values their members and supports them in the role they provide. Not only that, our culture offers, and values, the flexibility of a good life/work balance with the hours you wish to work as finding a middle ground for this is of upmost importance.

For therapists who are starting out in private practice for the first time, we know from our own experience how this can be scary and quite daunting. We provide a safe haven in your times of need, providing protection, comfort, support and relief.  A secure base can also have a significant influence in the establishment and development of the relationship and wellbeing with the client. Not only that, a trustworthy team behind you can be invaluable in providing discussions and advice from others who have been in your shoes, this goes a long way in helping to make your own decisions in finding the right way forward for you and your private practice, developing your self-reliance and independence.

Some therapists start their work with a variety of client groups not really knowing where they would want to specialise. As experience is gained they find an area that lights them up, becomes especially important to them, or becomes their passion. We provide the place for this discovery to take place as client groups can be individually tailored and adapted, for this growth to take place.

For experienced therapist who would like to join us and knows the areas of work they prefer, we can of course accommodate this for you straight away. Not only that, we wish to support you in any way you want to grow your private practice. Using Grey Matters Centre as an umbrella term, you can run your business without having to worry about the premises you will do this from, as this will all be taken care of for you, worry free. For example: you might wish to run some support groups or some workshops. or perhaps you already know how you want to run your practice? That’s fine by us as we are open to all dialogue and discussions about any goals you may have.

Wherever stage you are at in your career, being an affiliate at Grey Matters Centre gives you the flexibility to fit sessions around your busy life and commitments and run your own private practice the way you want to, in a desirable, supportive, safe and friendly environment.

We are forward thinking and a rapidly growing organisation. We are a company who are going places and we want you to come with us! This is an exciting brand-new role, the opportunity to be part of a successful, dynamic mental health team delivering psychologically informed interventions to your specialist client group, the area of work you are passionate about.

We also recognise the positive value of diversity and promote equality and challenges discrimination. We welcome and encourage applications from people of all backgrounds.

We are keen to hear from Psychotherapists and Counsellors who work with Individuals, Couples, Families, Young People and Children and who are just starting out in private practice or an expert within their specialist area. So if you are looking to make a difference and make a positive impact on your working environment you can do that with us. We can support this with our inclusive workplace, with our matching values and aims, giving us all space for being the best version of ourselves
