Dealing with Parental Alienation
Can be an incredibly painful experience for parents and families
It may involve a child becoming distant, rejecting contact or expressing strong negative feelings toward one parent following separation or conflict. Parental alienation support offers a safe space to talk about what is happening, explore the emotional impact and consider ways to support the wellbeing of both parent and child.
You may feel as though youโre being erased from your childโs life, despite all the love and effort youโve given. The sense of injustice, confusion, and grief can be overwhelming-and yet, these feelings are a natural human response to something so profoundly painful and complex.

Understanding Whatโs Happening
Parental alienation often develops gradually, changing how a child sees one parent over time.
Children may feel caught between adult conflict and believe they have to choose sides to feel safe or accepted.
Although deeply painful, this is not a reflection of your worth or your bond as a parent.
A child feeling pressured to choose sides
Withdrawal or rejection of one parent
Loyalty conflicts and emotional confusion
Feelings of helplessness, grief, or anger
Difficulty making sense of sudden changes
Fear and emotional pressure affecting family relationships

Therapy can be a powerful
Working Together to Heal
In therapy, there is space to process the immense emotional pain that comes with alienation. Together, we can explore what this experience has meant for you, your identity as a parent, and your connection to your child. You will not be judged or told to โmove onโ โ instead, weโll focus on healing the emotional wounds, rebuilding strength, and finding ways to respond with compassion and stability, even in the face of uncertainty.
If your child is directly involved, therapy can also support them to make sense of their own feelings of confusion, fear, or devided loyalty, in a safe and neutral space.
The road to healing from parental alienation is rarly straightforward, but with the right understanding and support, it is possible to find steadiness again-to hold hope, nurture resilience, and keep open the possibility for reconnection when the time is right.
